Proactive customer support rocks! Thanks SportyPal
Yesterday afternoon I went for a run and used the SportyPal app to record my run using my HTC Hero. But at the end of the run, for some reason it was not saved and/or uploaded. With that, and being OCD I was a little upset and tweeted;
Had a great run, felt fast and even. Then the SportyPal app failed to upload or even save my run. Bummer.
After that, I was a little disappointed, but moved on. Then I woke up this morning to find that SportyPal send me a return tweet which read;
@robertnelson I'm sorry about it, can you send mail on gligord@sportypal.com maybe we can find the file :-)
Pretty nice, especially considering I was not looking for help, just venting.
But in addition, they also tracked down my email and sent me a nice message offering additional help. Now, I am not sure there is anything they can do, I think that workout is gone, but considering they are doing this for a free product -- that can only be described as AWESOME.
So, in short, thanks SportyPal. And despite one error, which was most likely caused by GPS issues, I will continue to recommend your app. Personally I have it installed on my HTC Hero and iPhone 3GS. Cross platform support is great.
